Developer Internship
Duration: 12 months (Including a 3-month probation period)
Location: Office-based position in Johannesburg
About the Internship:
Sybrin is a leading provider of innovative software solutions across Africa and beyond. We're offering a 12-month internship opportunity for aspiring Developers to join our Technology division.
This internship provides hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining real-world software applications. You'll be part of a collaborative team, working on exciting projects that drive value for our clients and support our mission of delivering cutting-edge technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of software applications
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code under the guidance of senior developers
- Participate in team discussions, sprint planning, and code reviews
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues
- Contribute to documentation and testing of applications
- Learn and apply development best practices and standards
Required Skills:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a qualification in IT, Computer Science, or Software Development
- Basic programming knowledge in one or more languages (e.g., C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript)
- Familiarity with development frameworks such as .NET, React, or Angular (preferred but not required)
- Understanding of database concepts and SQL
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
